Eliminates Toenail Fungus
Naturally at its Source

At least 10% of Americans suffer from toenail fungus, otherwise known as onychomycosis. Due to the infection’s deep location within the nail, topical creams are often ineffective for most patients.

The specific pulse duration produced by the Revolution makes it the perfect tool for treating toenail fungus. The Revolution is a highly effective method for eliminating toenail fungus as it penetrates through the nail to the nail bed where the infection subsides. The Revolution has delivered a 95% success rate in fungal nail plate clearance and is one of the only lasers available that can work for both tattoo removal and toenail fungus treatment – two very profitable procedures with high demand.

Best Laser for Toenail Fungus

Due to Dr. Youner’s advanced licensure as a Certified Laser Specialist, we are able to laser-treat infected fingernails as well as perform with our PicoSure and Revolution lasers for tattoo removal. Please call 212-683-7757 for an appointment for this life-changing procedure.

At Healthy Feet New York we own the Revolution by Astanza laser. Best results are with a booster laser treatment  for a fee of 150 per infected nail at 3 months after your first visit. These laser fees includes a pre-procedure surgical debridement of the nails. Juvederm (FILLER INJECTIONS) for PAINFUL FEET
Straight out of Europe is Dr. Johanna Youner’s cutting edge use of  injectable filler for painful foot joints. As well as for padding lost to time, overuse, etc., Juvederm Ultra 4 is PAINLESSLY injected, after a gentle anesthetic injection, directly into the painful joint or area of the foot that causes pain during ambulation. The ingredients of Juvederm are joint fluid, and as in skin, this encourages your own body to create joint fluid. European use and studies have been very positive for the intra-articular (into the joint) injections of Juvederm Ultra4. Please call 212-683-7757 to arrange an appointment with the doctor about this life changing procedure.

The all-inclusive fee for this procedure is 1000 per syringe, and Juvederm is not covered by insurance. Each foot requires one syringe.

Please call a week in advance for this ground-breaking, revolutionary procedure. A pre-procedure consultation is helpful as not all persons are candidates for Juvederm. We have seen zero side effects from injections of Juvederm over the 12 years of use.

Please view our video media to see how Dr Youner administers this injection.
CBS-TV also has footage of Dr. Johanna Youner administering the Juvederm injections. As a non-surgical approach to chronic foot pain, this procedure is unparalleled.

Botox for Hyperhidrosis (OVERSWEATING)
Dr. Johanna Youner performs this procedure to decrease foot sweating with minimal discomfort. If you suffer from severe foot sweating, Dr Youner can give you dry feet for six months or more. The costs are high due to the costs of the Botox medication, but if you have suffered with this problem, the results speak for themselves. Utilizing 4 vials of Botox, the costs are 5000 per foot including anesthetic injections and are not covered by insurance. IV sedation is available. Please call 212-683-7757 to arrange a consultation for this life-changing procedure.

Chemotherapy Foot Issues (Plantar Erythrodysesthesia or Hand Foot Syndrome)

Warts (Verrucae) Treatment with Bleomycin Sulfate
Innovative chemotherapeutic techniques (Injectable BLEOMYCIN SULFATE) are used with far greater success than any previous plantar’s wart (verrucae) removal. This treatment is solely for resistant verrucae. For more conservative verrucae treatments, biweekly treatments with surgical debridement and customized compounded chemo-destructive agents such as acids, cantharone, etc. are very effective for newer warts. For resistant or older lesions, or if you are immune-suppressed, the bleomycin treatment is safe and effective.

Ingrown Toenails
Chronic pain from ingrown toenails or chronically infected ingrown toenails can be treated conservatively with regular specialized nail care or treated permanently with an in-office surgery. These nail treatments are painless and only a gently administered anesthetic is necessary to provide permanent relief for a severe chronic problem. Please call 212-683-7757 to make an appointment for treatment and care of this easily remedied problem.

Plantar Fasciitis / Heel Bursitis
Heel pain can be incredibly debilitating on a day-to day basis. Drs.Youner and Halbfass will stop this destructive process the moment you step (limp!) into the office. Our treatments begin with simple solutions such as better shoe gear and  arch supports, and oral medication if necessary. We progress to to stretching  devices worn at night, physical therapy, customized arch supports, compounded pain creams including homeopathic treatments if this is your preference. Depending on the severity of your problem, heel pain treatments can include injections into the inflamed area under Ultrasound Guidance, crutch use for rest, cam walkers, casts, surgical shoes, or surgery in more severe, resistant cases. If you dread that first step in the morning due to pain, do not hesitate to make an appointment to start your foot and body on the road to recovery. Please call 212-683-7757 for an appointment.

Laser Fungal Nail Treatments
FDA-approved laser treatment is performed with our Astanza Revolution Q-switched Nd Yag laser. The fee for laser nail treatment is 150 per nail.  Treatment includes surgical debridement of the nails.

Fungal nails are also treated medically by painless debridement and at home topical treatment with Formula 3. Oral medications such as Lamisil may also be utilized if appropriate. Dr. Youner also performs regular debridement of severely thickened nails, providing comfort with no pain involved.

Neuromas
Neuromas are treated conservatively with shoes, padding, or alternatively with injection therapy  including steroid or state-of-the art sclerosing injections under ultrasound guidance. Neuromas are also treated surgically by complete removal. Drs Youner and Sergi also perform radiofrequency (computer generated signal into the neuroma)  for neuromas at Gramercy Surgical Center. RF is an effective treatment for neuromas consisting of a computer generated signal using a needle.

If the more conservative neuroma treatments have not successfully treated your pain, complete surgical removal of the neuroma is performed in the Operating Room.

Radiofrequency Ablation for Neuroma
Radiofrequency ablation for neuroma relief is a non-invasive and highly successful option for neuroma relief. Pulsed radiofrequency ablation can be performed through an incision as tiny as a needle, and the patient can return to work the same day. This treatment may not be covered by insurance. If you are plagued with neuroma pain, please call 212-683-7757 to make an appointment for this extremely effective and non-invasive technique.

Plantar Fasciitis Surgery
Severe and recurrent plantar fasciitis can be treated with shock wave therapy, PRP and pulsed radiofrequency ablation. Conservative care of plantar fasciitis is treated with night splints, cam walkers, OTC orthotics, custom orthotics, physical therapy, and injections when necessary. Our treatment protocol  has a 95% success rate of conservative treatment  for heel pain without surgery for plantar fasciitis treatment.

Flat Feet / High Arches
Both flat and high arched feet are treated with custom (550) or over the counter specialized supports (orthotic devices). We have excellent over-the-counter devices(orthotics) ranging in price from 25 to 60 dollars to provide comfort and excellent support at a reasonable price. No appointment is necessary to purchase over the counter devices.

Diabetic Footcare
Dr. Johanna Youner has lectured on diabetic self care, which has been translated into Chinese for the benefit of the NY Downtown community. Dr. Youner examines and treat diabetic patients with open communication, constant monitoring of any person dealing with diabetes, and regular podiatric visits every two months. Medicare Beneficiaries are able to receive a yearly pair of diabetic shoes and insoles to further protect their feet with involvement of the PCP.

Geriatric Footcare
As we age, our skin gets thicker and dryer. To protect your feet and keep you walking pain-free, we recommend podiatric treatment every two months. For care of the thicker skin, painful nails and dryer skin that come with age, our painless and expert foot care will keep you comfortable and walking. Dr. Youner  will custom cast your feet for custom orthotic supports if medical level over-the-counter supports have not completely healed your foot issues. We use the most expensive and best laboratories in the nation for our customized orthotics, and we use different laboratories based on your personal foot issues.

TRAUMEEL INJECTION THERAPY

A promising homeopathic treatment option for orthopedic injuries and pain management.

Traumeel Injections are highly sought afternatural, homeopathic treatments for conditions that cause painful inflammation. Traumeel is a botanical extract that was largely unrecognized as an injection type of remedy in the United States for over 80 years; athletes would often travel to Europe to receive such care for sports injuries. Traumeel is primarily composed of arnica montana root, a plant extract that is commonly found in tablets and creams to relieve pain and inflammation.

The body’s immune system begins its response to injury with inflammation. The swelling and warmth experienced at an injured site is caused by increased blood flow to an area, diffusing from blood vessels into the damaged tissue. The body does this to transport immune system cells to the infection or injury site to begin killing foreign material and repairing body cells. This would be an effective means of beginning the healing process, but our bodies often overreact, developing excess heat and swelling that could last long enough to reverse any helpful effects. Traumeel is an agent found in nature that not only reduces swelling, but balances it to promote its benefits.

WHAT IS TREATED

Traumeel Injections treat a variety of musculoskeletal inflammation based conditions. Soft tissue injuries respond best to traumeel treatment, including muscles ligaments, and tendons. It is most helpful to those who experience chronic inflammation, like athletes who may have a weak area or body part that they overuse during performance. Some common conditions that may benefit from Traumeel injections are:

Tendinitis

Sprains/Strains

Tears of ligaments, muscles, or tendons

Joint pain

Plantar faciitis

Trauma

Sports Injury

Muscle spasms

Fractures

Post-operative pain

Bursitis

Minor arthritis symptoms

TRAUMEEL VS. CORTICOSTEROID

Traumeel Injections are homeopathic treatments, meaning the medicinal agent is completely derived from minerals found in nature. Because the solution is mostly plant based, there are little to no side effects, including allergic reactions which are extremely rare. The absence of other effects makes Traumeel an anti-inflammatory treatment that can be used as often as necessary. Corticosteroids, though safe when regulated by a physician, may have adverse effects if used too often. Corticosteroids can target soft tissue cells, causing them to shrink if exposed to the medication at long periods of time, so they are rarely ever administered more than once every six months. Due to the varying response patients have to corticosteroid treatment, inflammation may begin again before this time period. Traumeel may be an effective alternative to patients who do not respond fully to corticosteroid injections.

USAGE

Traumeel injections are most effective when administered immediately after injury. Communication between patient and physician is essential since the dosage of Traumeel given at each injection can be based on the reaction of the patient. Traumeel injections are natural and homeopathic, so they may be repeated until symptoms disappear as routine therapy.

PREPARATION

A patient should wear loose comfortable clothing to their injection appointment. A sterile needle will be inserted into the inflamed area and the arnica based medicine injected directly into the pain site. Due to tenderness of the area and depending on how deeply the needle may needs to penetrate, the injection site may be sore for a few days. Over the counter anti-inflammatories will usually dull any pain while it dissipates.
